## How billing works

- A hit is a record DataSkip successfully matches, meaning it comes back with owner contact data: the owner's name along with available phones, emails, and mailing address. A record that returns nothing is a miss, and misses are always free. No hits, no charge.
- Typical lists see a 98.9% hit rate.
- No subscription is required. Skip tracing is pay as you go, and the rate stays a flat 4 cents per hit at any list size. There is no volume discount on skips; volume pricing applies to data buying only.
- No minimum order. A single skip works from the dashboard or the API.
- Maximum list size: 250,000 records per skip trace, processed in a single run.
- File formats: Excel (.xlsx) or CSV in, CSV out.
- All sales are final. Loaded balances are not refunded, and loaded balances never expire.
